LVCMIC 2004
LVCMIC 2004
The idea of the music industry conference sprang from the desire of music industry students, who were members of a national organization (MEISA), to host their own regional conference(s) in contrast to a national conference hosted primarily for academics.
Students of Albright College in Reading and Lebanon Valley College in Annville decided to jointly host the first of these conferences at Albright. This took place in 2003 with about 80 in attendance. LVC became the location of the jointly-hosted conference the following year in 2004.
In 2006, the students of Lebanon Valley College decided to withdraw from the national organization, changing the name from MEISA to MISA (Music Industry Students Association) and to host the conference every fall.
